Germany is one of the first countries to implement the EU measure, approving an increase in all Toll Collect roads for Euro VI class trucks from December 1, 2023. This increase is due to the incorporation of a new C02 pollution coefficient for vehicles, which means that the toll rate per kilometer will additionally depend on the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) emitted by a vehicle.

The payment of the fee will be mandatory for vehicles registered outside the United Kingdom of more than 12,000 kg that circulate on affected roads & motorways.
UK HGVs are taxed according to the UK tax laws.

Not only is the frequency of the controls higher, but the detection, processing and communication of sanctions has been streamlined and they are now issued in a matter of weeks, when it was previously common for them to be notified 1 to 2 years after the date of the infringement.

New regulation

NEW REGULATION: it will be compulsory to equip vehicles with 4 or more wheels, with winter tyres or snow chains/socks in specific locations.

The Polish government plan to launch their new E-Toll system with effect from 1st October, the new toll collection system will replace the existing ViaTOLL system.
