Similar to the Macron Law in France, new legislation will soon come into force in Holland which regulates the salary conditions of workers including those that enter the country on a temporary basis; if your drivers travel to Holland then this might mean you.

What do you need to do?

1. Comply with the mínimum salary legislation

Displaced workers must comply with the mínimum wage legislation. In Holland, this is determined by the age of the worker:

2. Notify the Dutch government of the displaced driver’s details.

They require information relating to the driver and the period that the driver will be in the country.

3. Carry certain documents in the vehicle

The driver must have access to the following information in the vehicle (Papero r digital format).

Work contracts.
Payslips.
Summary of hours worked.
Forms “A1”.
Salary payment confirmation slips.

4. Provide documentation where it required in case of an inspection

All relevant documentation must be available for a period of 5 years following the date the work was carried out.

What happens if you do not follow the law?

Fines can be issued upto 40 000€ depending on the gravity of the sanction.

How often do I have to notify the authorities about a driver going to Holland?

Once the notification has been made in advance of the driver going to Holland then this driver is covered for a period of 1 year. A renewal should then be made if this driver continues to go to Holland.
