  • ZONES/ ROADS/ ROUTES

Slovenia has a network of expressways and toll motorways of 623km, divided into 128 sections or toll sections.

  • TOLL ELIGIBLE VEHICLES
    • All vehicles are subject to toll payment, depending on the payment method of their weight.
  • TOLL CHARGES

Each section has an entrance and exit, which determines the route covered and therefore the amount, to which are added the characteristics of the vehicle (such as weight or number of axles). This is done automatically when the vehicle passes through the gantry installed in each stretch or section.

Each section has a separate rate that will be based on the type of vehicle or its category, the EURO emission class and the distance travelled.

  • PAYMENT METHODS

Heavy vehicles (from 3.5t) must carry the DarsGo on-board unit, available in both prepaid and postpaid modes.

The user can activate the postpaid option by linking the vehicle account with a fuel card at any “DarsGo Servis” customer service center.

For prepaid use, it is possible to visit a “DarsGo Servis” center with a fleet, credit or debit card, or create an e-DarsGo account for management at www.darsgo.si

No, the OBU will not function outside of the Slovenian toll network.

First of all, we recommend checking the device to ensure:

  • If it is correctly configured (license plate, axles, weight).
  • If the network of the country that issued the fine is activated
  • If there is no error on the screen or any red light appears.

It is also advisable to check with the driver if the device had any errors that were not notified, or if the device was disconnected from the vehicle’s power supply.

In addition to the above, you can verify the consumption of the device during that date to check if the journey has been recorded correctly and the fine has been issued in error.

In Vrio we offer a professional fine management service specializing in the analysis and appeal of this type of toll fines. We take care of the whole process on your behalf keeping you on the road.
