This index measures exactly how resilient different countries throughout the world are to &#8220;supply chain disruption&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Their data-driven tool and repository ranks the business resilience of 130 countries. It is designed to help executives evaluate and manage supply chain risk. Twelve key drivers of supply chain risk are grouped into three main categories: economic, risk quality and supply chain factors (see table below). These combine to form the composite index. Scores are bound on a scale of 0 to 100 with 0 representing the lowest resilience and 100 being the maximum resilience.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2408\" src=\"https:\/\/vrioeurope.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/supply-chain-resilience-UK-Ireland03.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"662\" height=\"313\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vrioeurope.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/supply-chain-resilience-UK-Ireland03.png 662w, https:\/\/vrioeurope.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/supply-chain-resilience-UK-Ireland03-300x142.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 662px) 100vw, 662px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the 2019 FM Global resilience report found that the <strong>United Kingdom\u00b4s supply chain factor <\/strong>was ranked<strong> the 3rd most resilient supply chain <\/strong>globally out of the 130 countries included within the index.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ireland rank at number 22 <\/strong>with Singapore and Hong Kong respectively have the most resilient supply chains globally with Haiti ranking at number 130.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2405\" src=\"https:\/\/vrioeurope.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/supply-chain-resilience-UK-Ireland02.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1253\" height=\"389\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vrioeurope.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/supply-chain-resilience-UK-Ireland02.png 1253w, https:\/\/vrioeurope.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/supply-chain-resilience-UK-Ireland02-300x93.png 300w, https:\/\/vrioeurope.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/supply-chain-resilience-UK-Ireland02-1030x320.png 1030w, https:\/\/vrioeurope.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/supply-chain-resilience-UK-Ireland02-768x238.png 768w, https:\/\/vrioeurope.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/supply-chain-resilience-UK-Ireland02-705x219.png 705w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1253px) 100vw, 1253px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Overall Resilience Performance: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The report also found that from an economic standpoint <strong>Ireland<\/strong> is the <strong>5<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong> most resilient country and the <strong>United Kingdom 23<sup>rd<\/sup><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, taking all factors into consideration both the UK and Ireland performed extremely well in FM\u00b4s Global Resilience Index, with the <strong>United Kingdom ranking at number 10<\/strong> globally and <strong>Ireland at number 16<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2402\" src=\"https:\/\/vrioeurope.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/supply-chain-resilience-UK-Ireland01.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"749\" height=\"558\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vrioeurope.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/supply-chain-resilience-UK-Ireland01.png 749w, https:\/\/vrioeurope.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/supply-chain-resilience-UK-Ireland01-300x223.png 300w, https:\/\/vrioeurope.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/supply-chain-resilience-UK-Ireland01-705x525.png 705w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 749px) 100vw, 749px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The challenges that we face today are testing the global supply chain in ways that we have never witnessed before and it will be very interesting to see how these supply infrastructures are able to adapt quickly to the changing global demands that are being placed on them by governments, businesses and general society as a whole over the coming months.
